Just because a patch exists doesn't mean it is always ok to apply it
upstream.

If e.g. upstream and some contributor disagree on something (power
settings or anything), that doesn't make upstream unwilling. That means
upstreams opinion is different, nothing more.

Note that if something is really needed, and some long term commitment
is made, then maybe something can be done. At Mageia people are expected
to take up responsibility. Meaning: become a maintainer for a package,
look after the bugs, etc. That takes up a lot of time. If you differ
from upstream then IMO you are responsible for those differences (pretty
much same if upstream takes a patch).

At most if these patches aren't applied some stuff won't work as nicely.
