+I've noticed that many of the non-native English speakers have a
+tendency to express their opinions in broad, absolute terms. Even
+those of us who are native English speakers can get sloppy with our
+choice of words. Misunderstanding often ensues. Some of that may be
+cultural, some of that may be an artifact of translation and some may
+be intentional; it is impossible to distinguish between the two,
+especially in text messages.
+
+That makes having a productive debate difficult and frustrating. I
+continue develop an appreciation for reading past the rhetoric (and
+the grammar and syntax) to find the authentic message within.
