+I think what you did, trying to reproduce and asking Thierry for help,
+was the good thing to do.

+In doubt, it is always good to ask the maintainer or committer(s) of
+the involved package.
+
+By the way, it does happen that we think a bug is valid and assign a
+bug to a maintainer, but that the bug turns out to be in another
+package than we thought, or that is is user error after all.
+
+Don't get discouraged if that happens to you: it happens to all of us.
