Hi Seb,

> Oh ok one person for each position unless wobo is wrong.

You checked the link, yes? I think he's right. And given that marcom is
still a very small team, I think we can get away with just 2 - team
lead and deputy.

> I agree it's good to have a leader and a deputy leader to help each
> other, but having two council representatives could be quite good to
> have at times as well really.

Maybe when we're bigger, but once all teams have reps on council, it
will still be quite a large council. The idea is, as I see it, that if
the team lead isn't available, the deputy attends in their place - for
instance, if TeaAge isn't going to be available as artwork team lead,
he pings Max and Max attends as artwork rep (which is what's happening
now because TeaAge is busy).

> In fact I was thinking about it earlier how at least in my experience
> group things tend to have or may have two people for non leading
> positions.

Maybe if marcom gets to be a big team 8-)...

> As for the council mailing list I assume both representatives should
> be sending emails to it if their are two.

Just one - team lead if they're available, deputy if they aren't. That
keeps it manageable.

> Anyway it seems we will be voting for only one council representative
> and so in that case my vote is for Trish or myself.

You can't vote for yourself! If you're the only candidate, you would be
elected unopposed, but otherwise, you have to vote for someone else or
you have to abstain.

There's plenty of work to do, so we're all needed - whether we get an
official role or not, everyone who contributes is important.

And sometimes our ideas get up and sometimes they don't (or not yet) -
this is a community, so there's always got to be a bit of give and
take.

Cheers!
