<PRE>Not <the> Paul Simon, just the third after the singer and late senator from Illinois. Simple Simon was heard many times as well other variants on Simon. Actually I'm a retired chemist here in Silicon Valley and worked on magnetic recording heads for many years.

Clicking icons on the desktop won't execute programs with rare execption.
If I run the command from the command line (Konsole), e.g., dolphin, the
error message is:
"symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libkio.so.5: undefined symbol: " followed
by various ascii chars. I think it has gotten down into my cron file too.
Any ideas?

I just read this; glad to know all's well. That message sometimes appears where some KDE games are installed, without all the K Desktop Environment itself. Simply install KDE to avoid the message. Regular updates of installed system software help, too.

Paul, are you THE Paul Simon? Because I just had a geekgasm thinking about THE Paul Simon using Linux, and the distro that I contribute to too!
