Not possible for people who do not have network up during installation
(lots of wifi users).

It's not a matter of being friendly or unfriendly with beginners. It's
a matter of the position towards the free/non-free issue and the fact
that the usage of some tainted software may be illegal in a user's
country. You can argue endlessly about this and never get to a result,
so each distributor (Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian, Mandriva, Mageia, etc.)
has to decide on his position. Ubuntu decided for "opt-out", Mageia
decided for "opt-in".
