<PRE>Hi Kevin et al,
Sorry for the delay in response, I was away on a short weekend vacation.

Thanks! That rebuilt the rpm database. But when I tried to re-boot into
the new kernel it was then stuck again.
I then rebooted into the 3.3.6 kernel and checked for/and updated my
system and tried to re-boot into the new kernel and this seems to have
worked.
Hope the wrinkles to the new kernel update have been fixed. It would be
sad to hear from my 78 year old mother that there was a hitch in her
updates. She likes to play her solitaire along with watching TV
(tv-card) on her Mageia.
Cheers,
Marc
