Belatedly, I have just booted then netbook, and used diskmgmt.msc to
show me the partition type:
"Partition Style: Master Boot record (MBR)"
which I believe indicates that the drive is *not* GPT-partitioned.
(I'm still trying to find out what it would say for GPT.)
In this case, does it not mean that I could go ahead with a dual-boot
install of Mageia-2?
(Actually, I've gone off the idea of dual-boot, as I do not intend to
use W7 on the netbook (I have it on the desktop, dual booted),
but am tempted to try it just out of curiousity before re-installing
single boot!)
