> Once again I am having this bug that can occur on any WPA

> my development environment for more than one day because he

> Since I got no answer since I opened the bug, as asked

> Is it a DCHP issue? If you use a fixed IP address does the problem
> go away? I used to have real issues with Mandriva a few years ago
> until I changed the DHCP client in the network setup. Might be
> worth a try - might be talking ********!
>
>
> Nope, still would not work. And still, it has been working fine for
> one week before he did me this again without needing a fixed IP.
>
> Note that I can connect to other wireless hotspots, opened or close,
> but not the only one I need to. And my ids are supposed to be all
> good. And it is the only hotspot where he mixes up config files,
> sometimes telling me it is open while there is an Enteprise WPA2 key.
>
> He also keeps my ids instead of deleting them even if I delete the
> wireless connection to create it again.

I use drakx-net as well, but it seems different hardware.
I don't know if this will help any, but when I download DVDs using a
wireless hotspot, moving my portable only 20 cm can make a big
difference in whether I get a reliable connexion, and even 10 cm can
make a big difference in download speed. The orientaion of my portable
makes a difference as well.
(I use aria2 which gives me feedback once a minute.)
The strength of the signals vary on different days as well.
In the past (under mdv) I've noticed that in the presence of several
signals, with an unwanted stronger than a wanted signal, it can
sometimes be difficult to make the wanted connexion.
So maybe you can try moving/ re-orienting your computer to get a better
signal.
BTW, are you monitoring the signals when you connect ? That could help
orient the computer.
