If I'm not mistaken, in fact there was and still is drakx-net's "native"
code for net monitor (

which should be also translated but just is not used after Eugeni developed
more modern net monitor ... As a no-coder I'm not sure if it is possible
but about not-working button - maybe there is a possibility to use old code
and it's translation if package net_monitor is not installed (it appears to
be by default not installed)?
(I CC to dev-list as probably a dedicated developer is needed to resolve
our problems ...)
