</I>I would prefer vlc too, since it has been rewritten in Qt (was
wxWidgets).
I don’t know if that counts, but it’s also one of the most popular open
source application in the windows world like firefox and openoffice, so
newcomers would not be lost.
The issue I have with vlc is its playlist handling which I don’t like,
but that might just be an option to activate.
