Romain you forgot to specify that currently aliases are used in the Mageia
packages and no email addresses are included.
So the discussion started because some people wanted to change this.
Well, I repeat my point of view as posted in the other thread:
- each packager should be free to decide his identity (i.e. whether to use
his real name or alias)
creating to many unnecessary rules will just alienate people and a don't
think Mageia can afford that
- while I'm rather against having an email address in the package changelog
entries as it encourages users to contact packagers directly via private
email rather than going through the proper support channels, I don't
really mind too much as long as we can use a mageia.org forwarding email
address (which would be the best anyway since it would make the package
look more official)
