As it concerns a basis rpm upon which others are built, I thought
there's some emergency
This seems to have at least convinced Mandriva team... and might improve
Mageia too, reaching some common standard with all the other distributions.

on Mandriva bugzilla that was recently resuscitated (I know Thierry
Vignaud had a glance on it...)

Perhaps it would be more sane and safe to start on a universal basis
with freeglut (that is used by every distribution), and build packages
with it (but that means a temporary problem of compatibility with
Mandriva...)
