that a liveCD must show the ability of a distribution
that every newbie will look for what he uses more often on his computer
that reading mp3 is a basic feature

I know that a CD is 700MB : a choice must be done, the lighter being the
best...
which is the lightest (counting dependencies) phonon-xine
phonon-gstreamer or phonon-vlc to allow mp3 reading ?

But perhaps it is not allowed to have a liveCD reading mp3 out of the
box because of patent problems.
In this case it needs an easy automatic way to download the codec !
