<PRE>Hi,
I just did a very minimal install in virtualbox. Plymouth was not
installed during the initial installation as I didn't pick any graphical
environments.
Therefore no kernel command line arguments were put into grub. Is this
the norm now or will there always be a "splash" or "splash=silent"
kernel command line when plymouth should kick in?
If we want plymouth to kick in by default (unless suppressed via
splash=verbose argument) then I can do that but it'll take a little patch.
All the best
Col
