+so here with my customized mga2 box, and after having upgraded
+- evolution to 3.6.2 (like you)
+- oxygen-gtk3 (either 1.1.1 or trunk, no difference)
+- gtk+3.0 to 3.6.1,
+I cannot reproduce the issue.
+Might also be a cairo issue.

+- update gtk+3.0 to 3.6.2 (like you)
+- update cairo to whatever version is shipped in mga3/cauldron

+Does turning on/off kwin compositing (desktop effects) change anything ?
