> >> I was using Amarok as a player for my music files. After an
> >> upgrade to Mageia2 it would stop at each song in the folder. Had
> >> to
> > continually restart
> >> each song. Found Guayadeque in the repositories. Works great.
> >> Thanks developers. Gary
> >
> > The same happens to me but only with ogg songs. With mp3 I have no
> > problems at all. If the same happens to you, let's report a bug.
> > i think that amarok needs xine as phonon backend
> >
> > Clementine uses gstreamer , and can benefits crossfade between
> > songs for that (xine does nt support any more crossfade)
>
> I think you are mistaken about amarok's backend. As far as I know,
> xine is the least likely to work. Whether gstreamer or vlc backend is
> best seems to depend on your hardware. On one of my installations
> gstreamer works best, on another vlc works best. It really seems to
> be a case of trial and error.

I dont know for today, as i dont use any more Amarok since Clementine has be released. I remember that to have amarok working with mp3 we needed to install the phonon-xine backend. And after this : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=178184 i said bye bye to amarok for the great clementine.
