Hello,

I am considering buying an Intel Sandy Bridge-based laptop (a Lenovo
X121e) and I am wondering whether Mageia 1 (not Cauldron) works ok with
it, especially the integrated GPU. The CPU+GPU is apparently a Core
i3-2357M. Does anyone have any feedback?

Yes. we made sure we had all parts of the Intel Sandy Bridge support
added to Mageia 1 according to Intel Specs at:
http://intellinuxgraphics.org/2011Q1.html

And it was tested on several Sandy Bridge based desktops and laptops,
to verify it works.

Yeah, it should work just fine. Mageia Cauldron is in sync with 2011Q3 as well, so you shouldn't have any problems.

--
Eugeni Dodonov
