<br>
I do plan to start to setup the mirror infrastructure this week, even some part<br>
will be temporary. Here the plan for comment and review.<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>here is at instant t a synthesis of what I saw (incomplete, to be discussed, enhanced and clarified)</div><div> <a href="http://cookerspot.tuxfamily.org/wikka.php?wakka=MageiaMirrors">http://cookerspot.tuxfamily.org/wikka.php?wakka=MageiaMirrors</a></div>
<div><br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex;">
1) Seting up <a href="http://rsync.mageia.org" target="_blank">rsync.mageia.org</a></blockquote><div><br></div><div> done</div><div> </div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex;">

2) Mirrors list<br>
I&#39;ll setup the promise web application (probably on distrib-coffee at time) + an<br>
svn read-only access to the code. </blockquote><div><br></div><div>done</div><div> </div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex;">
<br>
3) Our First Tier1 (distrib-coffee)<br>
</blockquote><div>done</div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex;">BTW: finding other Tier1 mirrors is still in progress.<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>
done, others welcome :) </div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex;">
<br>
4) Documentation<br></blockquote><div>done</div><div> <a href="http://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pub/linux/Mageia/mirror.readme">http://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pub/linux/Mageia/mirror.readme</a></div><div>may be easier to update on the wiki ? (and synchronized when corrected / precised?)</div>
<div><br></div><div>I suggest editing <a href="http://mageia.org/wiki/doku.php?id=mirror.readme">http://mageia.org/wiki/doku.php?id=mirror.readme</a> which is on the wiki, rather than waiting for an update: this is to permit to any people to add what you think is important to document about the mirroring process (then Nanar will synchronize the documentation from time to time from the wiki ; who said release early, release often?).</div>
<div> </div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex;">
Do you have comment or proposal about this process ?<br><br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>I would have some proposals to promote collaborative work, particularly about the structure, seeing only tier 1 is forgetting the whole use of mirrors by developers and users in the end (and mirrors-admin in the middle to determine what should be mirrored). That&#39;s why I tried to modelize it as a mind-mind with xmind.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Just have a look at:</div><div> <a href="http://cookerspot.tuxfamily.org/wikka.php?wakka=MageiaMirrors">http://cookerspot.tuxfamily.org/wikka.php?wakka=MageiaMirrors</a> </div></div>(well it&#39;s also a wiki, so feel free to edit it, you may download the xmind source as well and edit it, just send it on the ML once updated, telling what you&#39;ve changed)<br>
