</I>Yes, skysql is a company providing service for mariadb (and mysql).
According to the younbg lady I met at the Fossgis, Monty is also
somehow connected to skysql but he wanted to make sure, the
development of maridb is independent from the company selling services
for it.
To the drizzle project that was mentioned in this thread, I can say
nothing. I heard of it for the first time now.
And I would prefer mariadb were Monty (as the original mysql founder)
is involved...
