>>>> >
>>>> > I couldn't have time installing alpha now, but I've found that we
>>>> > still promote ask.com as default search engine of firefox, and other
>>>> > additional search engines such as jamendo.
>>>> >
>>>> > I think mageia has nothing todo with above search engine.
>>>>
>>>> Yes there is no reason
>>>> What should be decided is if Mageia switches back to default search
>>>> engine or selects another one for whatever reason
>>>
>>> Following upstream seems to be the safer solution for the moment.
>>>
>>> ( even if I would not be against promoting alternative solutions ).
>>
>> Agreed. But the reason of promoting ask.com as default search engine,
>> is that they have an agreement with Mandriva the company. So...
>
> When speaking of alternatives, I was more thinking of distributed one like
> yacy, seeks, majestic12 rather than others commercials one.

I'm meant to be getting dooble, a new browser a d yacy working
together in a rpm, the upstreams people who develop yacy seem to work
with it on dooble.

As for Jamendo, it would be nice to keep that and its a useful site.
