+<PRE>Firefox 8.0 came out a few weeks ago, Mozilla released FF 8.0.1 a few 
+days ago, and FF 9 is scheduled to be released by the end of the year. 
+Mageia is still on FF 7.0.1.
+
+I'm not sure why the delay in adopting FF 8.x into Mageia. I searched 
+for some notice that it was in testing, but came up empty. For what it's 
+worth I've installed the USA English version of 8.0.1 on my 32-bit 
+system while leaving Mageia's version intact, and see no problems so 
+far. I'll continue to use Mozilla's latest as my default browser, and if 
+any problems develop, I'll post them here for the information of the FF 
+maintainers.
