> > Thanks for all your efforts. I'm waiting for our mailing list created.

> get
> > the moderator access rights? Or will you assign a default moderator?
>
> Moderation will be done by a specific team.
>
> But moderation is not the same as on a forum, this is more "spam
> filtering".
>
> For example, me and others who are de facto moderator on current
> installation ( the one @zarb.org ) receive each morning a mail saying
> something like this ( real example, with edited email ) :
>
> ========================
> From: spam at gmail on Tue Feb 8 17:09:45 2011

> Subject: Re: [Mageia-discuss] Contributing Howto : need help
> Cause: Post by non-member to a members-only list
> ========================
>
> This was for the mageia-discuss ml 1 week ago. Then we usually go to the
> web interface, and check "this is spam, this is spam, this is not
> spam" ( or the checkbox "all of this is spam" + "erase" ).
>
> Obviously, the 3 first one are unwanted mail, and the 4th is not. The
> goal is to redirect when someone post to a restricted ml, or when
> someone use a wrong address, or when a spam evades our spam filter.
>
> So the plan at the new server is to have a team for moderation of all
> lists, not just for 1. We could have done the regular way, with
> different admin for each list. But that would have been more complex
> ( ie, have to keep track of who is doing moderation of what, and manage
> the fact that some people will leave and some will appear, will take
> holidays, etc ), and so would have required more work.
>
> It is simpler to have 1 team of 3/4 people to take care of the lists
> rather than 10 individuals taking care of each a different lists.
> And also have the same set of admin on all ml, so the setup is more
> resilient ( ie, if I go to a place without internet for 1 week, another
> admin can still connect and change settings, etc ).
>
> --
> Michael Scherer
>
>
Okay, but I wonder how could you know a mail is spam or not, if the mail is
not in English, but in Chinese for example?
Even in our google forum sometimes I could see misjudged mail.
Franklin
