> Hi there,
>
> just to set a first basic counter on Web site, I started with this:
> "Mageia 1 minus 43 days". But I am not so sure about the correctness

> correct, even if "Mageia 1 dans 43 jours" / "in 43 days" may be
> better).
>
> So I need both your advice and your translation of it.
>
> Thanks!

> (of course, from that, a better counter can be designed, but that's a start)

Hi,
I'm no native speaker, but I think that "43 days before Mageia 1"
would be simpler and maybe sound more English.
If we want to stick with the magic metaphor, it could be "43 days
before Mageia 1's casting" (for "to cast" can mean "to use a spell",
though I think the play on words doesn't really work, for we should
say "Mageia 1's launching" if we want to make clear we talk about the
release).
Regards,
Rémi / Akien
