<PRE>Just thought you'd like to know that I was able to get an Encore
ENUWI-1XN45 USB wireless N adapter dongle working with 32-bit Mageia 1
with a minimum of fuss. The key was in making sure the non-free
kernel-firmware-extra package was installed before plugging the dongle
in. (Fortunately, I had a wired connection so I could do that.) MCC's
drakconnect set up the connection quickly and easily.
Many thanks to doktor5000 of the Mageia Forum, who patiently held my
hand even though he probably knew I didn't need it.
I have to wonder though how I'll get the firmware I'll need to make an
Internet connection when I install Mageia 2 from the DVD if it's not on
there and I'm not within reach of an Ethernet cable.
