My personal opinion is that if a contributor is willing and able to legally
provide/distribute it, whatever it's status, he's free to do so. who are we to
say to that contributor that his work is in vain?
i mean, what is essential to whom??? it's a very subjective pov, so i say,
don't draw a unneeded line.
