That's interesting... I get those symlinks here :s (tho' I am running a
slightly newer udev, so perhaps the version in your initrd is to blame?)

Interesting, but I'm not sure I fully agree with this. The initqueue is
very specifically skipped when certain circumstances are reached. There
must be a reason for this, but I'm not immediately able to say what.
I'll ask Harald.
That said, I've already written a reply to your other mail with a longer
explanation of what I think could be going on... there are a few
questions in there for you :)
