I contacted several of the mentors listed on the wiki starting about six
months ago to try and get involved and offer services and submit
packages I maintain for other distros, two or three times.

I got answers (if at  all) like, "My plate is full", "I'll get back to
you" (a few times), etc. I've been idling in #mageia-mentoring to for
many months.

I also earmarked several packages on the wiki for me to provide the
packaging services for - including MySQL and MariaDB and others.

Never heard word one back. Not a peep. I gave up on it.

So yes, a coordinator would be very good to have.
