Thank
you for your attention, I'm not getting in touch with the translation
leader en do not have password from svn to transmit files from the
command line, it was because of this that I am sending translations via
email to mageia-i18n@mageia.org, near translations I will attach several
files into one so email ok ... Thank you Filip

Hi Padula.
Nice work!
I just switched pt-br donate and code-of-conduct pages from php to
lang system. Please check if it's OK.
Can you please next time attach your translations as files in one
email rather then several emails like you did until now? Or even
better commit them as Yuri suggested. See some more about that on
links on the bottom.
Following sentence in constitution.*.lang is actually note to
translators and not something to translate ;). See
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Internationalisation_Team_%28i18n%29#Special_cases_of_web_pages
to see what exactly you should do.
Please translate first "mageia.org_statutes_fr.md" or
"mageia.org_statutes_en.md" as a fallback. Check wiki for details.

I'm afraid it is not that easy.
It seems impossible to do that, if you add it on the good end of a string, the
%s jumps to the wrong end of it. If you add it on the wrong end, it stays on
the wrong end and won't jump to the good end. Is it allowed to combine a LTR
with a RTL language between ""?.
In revision 6106 (where tv added Max's fix) there was one instance of Mandriva
Linux ("??????? ??????")left, in the attached file it is replaced by Mageia
("????"), and there were about 10 "Mageia Linux"'s, so in the attached file
"???? ??????" was replaced by "????" only.
I didn't run the check Filip proposed (sorry Filip, but the check will fail
anyway, and I'm not in i18n)

I found a way to add the %s, if it should go at the end of a Hebrew string:
Using kwrite: first, type '"%s ' on the left of that string, then remove
'"????'
However, is it worth the trouble... is there any guarantee it will work?
Depending on which tool you use to look at the he.po file, you can see very
weird things, for instance the first letter of a word being put at the end of
it, or a string like '(%s)\n' being shown as 's)\n(%'
It is worst when using vim: the letters constantly change places if you try to
edit something

Thanks for your help Marja. It seems that we should be practical and just
hardcode Mageia in those strings. If Max can check if txt is OK in MCC with the
new file we improved situation anyway.
Maybe someone with some experience about LTR/RTL can jump in.

NO!!!!
It should _NOT_ be hardcoded.
And anyway nobody will be able to commit such a file (check is done prior
accepting commiting).
The string "%s" will be replaced at runtime by the translation of "Mageia"
which will be LTR too, thus a LTR string inserted in a LTR string at "%s"
position.
This won't be a problem.
You can easily check by running the following command as root:
"msgfmt -o /usr/share/locale/he/LC_MESSAGES/drakconf.mo he.po"
Then just start mcc in order to check your translations.

Created attachment 2940
--> https://bugs.mageia.org/attachment.cgi?id=2940
proposed he.po with %s
Replacing ????, where needed, with %s went well with gvim (even though gvim
showed the characters in the strings in reversed order)
After that I replaced ???? in the Mandriva changelog with ???????, because
there Mandriva should be kept, but didn't care very much about the commented
out lines at the end of the file.
I didn't find time to work out how to run msgfmt -c properly. I got:
[marja@Denkblok2 Documents]$ msgfmt -c proposed_%s_he.po
[marja@Denkblok2 Documents]$
where I had expected to see some messages.
So
* the file needs to be checked by someone who speaks Hebrew
* the msgfmt -c check still needs to be done
Feel free to do that :)

That probably means no errors :)
you can use -cv to make it more verbose...
if you still get no output, loose the %s in the filename as it might confuse
msgfmt...
