Romain created a tool to help in conversion from php array translation system to lang files system (pa2lang.php). So for donate page there was really not much work besides additional manual work I already mention in contribute page conversion email. I mean about strings in array in another array which require some juggling with English strings on php page and lang files because of that. I'm able and willing to do that. But it's totally different story to do copy-paste foreign language strings which for nonlatin and even some latin languages I'm not even able to read let alone understand from html file which could even change in between. So as you said some of you will unfortunately have to use copy-paste procedure yourself.
But I do offer my help with knowledge and experience I have with migration from html to lang conversion regarding cleaning old files from svn and making a redirection as needed with such migration. Basically all you need to do is to commit lang file first and then erase old directory with html translation and replace it with link to appropriate English page. You can copy those links from other languages as they have the same target so they are the same.
2012/7/27 Filip Komar <filip.komar@gmail.com>Hi Marek and others.
All I did was conversion from php array translation system to lang files system. I'm aware that there are languages which were translated long time ago. Even before php array translation system. I'm sorry for unfair low statistic. You and many others know well that conversion directly from translated page requires a lot of manual juggling with translated strings. I don't wish to do that as this is very danger especially for non native speaker. I'm sure that you and others understand that.
BTW, I just noticed that DrakX.pot was synced with the code by tv in trunk[1] and he also merged translation from standalone/po translation so it might be that there is no additional work for us.
Thank you for your understanding,
Filip.Yeah, of course I understand, though I can't even imagine what or how much effort conversion needs... I just thought that as contribute page was converted and IMHO very correctly, it is not so hard. But if it is, I've no doubt everybody is ready to do the conversion themselves manually with copy-paste from previous translation file.Marek Laane[1] http://svnweb.mageia.org/soft/drakx/trunk/perl-install/install/share/po/DrakX.pot?r1=4776&r2=5231
