This looks like the same chip series that I mentioned in my post a few days ago. As far as I know the firmware packages for that chip have never been installed by default. You can work around this by going to the Mageia Control Center software installation and search for 'b43'. Install the 3 packages that are appropriate for your hardware. Do a hard reboot. Go back to MCC and you should be able to install the firmware and drivers you need.
