Hi and congratulations to KDE4 mageia packaging team !

I am wondering if kde 4.7.x will land someday into mageia1 backport ?

Look, according to Mageia2 roadmap (see here http://blog.mageia.org/en/2011/07/17/mageia-2-release-cycle-support-and-planning/)
mageia2 will be released on 04/04/2012. In the meantime, kde 4.8SC will be available since January 2012 (see here  http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.8_Release_Schedule). So we can expect that
kde 4.8 SC will be available for mageia2, right ? In that case, why not backporting since now kde4.7.3 to mageia1 ? Kde 4.7 is already mature and well tested in cauldron so it will be a good point for mageia1 to propose it.

So what it's your opinion about that ?

Hello,

Just to let you know that KDE SC 4.7.3 should land probably today on cauldron.
Everything is already on the svn :)
