Mageia is building a mentoring program/team  with andre999 as "mentoring program coodinator" helped by Daniel Kreuter.
So things are growing.

nice that you like to join the packager team. You can also ask on irc if someone is able to mentor you (on #mageia-dev or #mageia-mentoring).

We will soon have a page on wiki where people can put his name on for seeking a mentor, too.
