<PRE>Hi everyone,

We have an apprentice candidate who is a longtime mdk/mdv and now Mageia user
with lots of unofficial rpm packaging experience, who would like to join our team.
So if anyone would like to mentor him, to quickly enhance our growing team, he is:
Michael Brown (logon mcb30)
You can find more details at:
<A HREF="http://www.mageia.org/wiki/doku.php?id=packages_mentoring#packager_apprentice_candidates">http://www.mageia.org/wiki/doku.php?id=packages_mentoring#packager_apprentice_candidates</A>

Mentors, let me know when you take him on, and I'll update the tables for you.

Thanks :-)

----

Note that we now have 48 active packagers maintaining at least one package,
with 37 maintaining at least 10, and 12 prolific packagers, maintaining at
least 100 packages.
This doesn't count &quot;nobody&quot;, who has fallen to second place since over a week.
Maintained srpms now account for almost 74% of all srpms, up from 45% 5 weeks
ago. (According to <A HREF="http://pkgsubmit.mageia.org/data/maintdb.txt,">http://pkgsubmit.mageia.org/data/maintdb.txt,</A> Saturday evening)
We currently have about 40 apprentices.

----

Anyone else looking for a mentor, let me know so I can add your name as an
apprentice candidate -- or you can do it yourself.
<A HREF="http://www.mageia.org/wiki/doku.php?id=packages_mentoring#packager_apprentice_candidates">http://www.mageia.org/wiki/doku.php?id=packages_mentoring#packager_apprentice_candidates</A>

See also the section just above, on becoming a Mageia packager :
<A HREF="http://www.mageia.org/wiki/doku.php?id=packages_mentoring#becoming_a_mageia_packager">http://www.mageia.org/wiki/doku.php?id=packages_mentoring#becoming_a_mageia_packager</A>

To find a mentor, you can also post to this list, or on IRC at freenode
#mageia-mentoring.

Regards :-)
