No you cant - well not directly, have you looked at the images for
plymouth, they are
very different.

I know that KDM just links to the defaul background, no idea what GDM
does, but i assume that it is the same.

and saw that my previous selection is awrong one
so .. i am with you about useing the default wallpaper

I have no idea about grub, I don't even have a mageia installation atm.
