+Big mirrors already have it for other distros, so it won't be a pain.

+What I do is exclude the isos, build them here (the jigdo script
+automatically calls rsync to adjust times/perms/etc.) then remove the
+exclusion. At the next run the isos will be new files but when rsync
+looks it finds them already so they're just skiped.

+So server got updated for security fix, but this one broke catdap.
+
+It seems that the issue lies in the CRL ( certification revocation list
+) that need to be created.

+I downgraded the rpm ( with -e --nodeps and -ivh, do not do this at one
+), and will investigate later a better fix.
+
+I think we just need to create a empty CRL, if someone not allergic to
+openssl can tell me how, this would help :)

+Likely. We just need to add a template for error 500.
+But in this case, the error message would not have been more helpful for
+the user, as there is nothing they can do for that.

+The difference is a user could really "come back later" instead of signaling 
+the bug right away. That's why I think this isnt' a good default message, but 
+maybe catalyst's devs chose it for the exact opposite reason, thinking that 
+transient errors are more frequent than real bugs.

+to reopen cauldron today.

+To do this, I think what needs to be done is :
+ - reopen commits
+ - submit updated mageia-release and lsb-release.
+ - update version in media.cfg
+ - unfreeze cauldron in youri
+
+Do you see something else to do, when reopening cauldron ?
+
+Next after reopening cauldron, will be opening updates/testing/backport
+repositories for release 1.

I filled in the registration form, which is straight-forward and like those for every other distribution. I then clicked the link sent to my e-mail account. But when I returned to the Mageia site, I could not log in.
+As for the other problems, I cannot be more specific. I tried the forgot password option a few times, but each time it generated a failed to connect message. It was not a problem with my computer, because I was having no problems at any other web-sites.

+i finally nailed the last remaining problems in perl spec file to build
+perl 5.14.0: it now compiles successfully in a local iurt! \o/
+
+now we need to do the following:

+however, i don't have access to the build nodes, so who can do it?
+otoh, someone scripted this when migrating to perl 5.12 when mageia was

+I just enabled the script to extract ssh keys from ldap. So if you
+create a account, key should be added to ldap.

+In identity, just go on the account you want to change :
+https://identity.mageia.org/admin/account -> seeks the account

+
+select "sshPublicKey" for the "add attribute" form, with value
+corresponding to the _whole_ line of the key ( ie ssh-rsa thekey
+the-comment ), and it "add"

+Then a script running every 10 minutes will take care of the rest.
+( can be run by hand too : /usr/local/bin/ldap-sshkey2file.py ).

+scripts) on.
+We want to collect our work and proposals on it. For example wallpapers 
+on SVN are PNGs, but the original format may was GIMPs XCF. The *.xcf 
+will than probably land on our storage, so each of us can easily 
+download and modify it, if the author isn't available on time.
+
+What we need:
+* some space (~1GB)
+* access to our members
+* simple access
+* a directory structure (which we can extend)
+What would be nice:
+* something like a gallery (as 95% of it will be images)
+* read-only for everyone
+
+So, 1GB shared folder with sftp or webdav (on champagne?) would be great.

+Then we could setup per user folder, like for people.mandriva.com ( for
+those from mandriva that remember ).

+agree that all mageia.$tld stuff will be in the form of a redirection
+mageia.org/$langcode

+We re-used default PHPBB skin... and indeddd the registration link is not obvious to find... once we start the design of graphical design we can take in account the need to make more obvious the link to identity
+
+An other point : identity can detect with the referrer (or we can add a &from=forum in the link) and show a welcome message with an explanation inviting users to subscribe and go back to forums once done...

+this seems to be linked to check_mirror, so some mirrors seems to make
+that cron fail.
+
+We can either add a alias from apache to root, or say that the cron job
+output should be sent to root.

+ - having a link from Forum to identity for user registration (that's
+the main point here)
+ - having a scheme for identity to know where to redirect users
+afterwise (not using the referrer, but having known keywords, like:
+http://identity.mageia.org/register/?return_to=forums so identity
+knows how to act/what to suggest after registration)

+I see 2 solutions :
+- keyword system ( ie, a keyword, and we lookup a table to redirect )
+- direct url 
+
+The first one is likely more secure, but requires to keep track of the
+table, and I think it would be better to not have yet another list to
+manage.
+
+The second one requires us to do some filtering to avoid problem ( like
+checking this is a proper url, that the url is only on our domain, and
+avoid basic attack like using @, url escaping, etc ).

+Sftp is totally fine for us. But I'm in favour of only one folder for the whole 
+artwork team. Is this possible?

+And would it be possible to keep a more friendly style even in email

+Every time someone asks you about your configurations of the forums you seem to 
+take this as a personal insult. I don't know, if you believe that, but some 
+people just want to help in pointing out, what could be done better/easier/...

+- we need to have a account for people of the artwork team

+- which requires to have proper team structure, ie, that you decide one
+representative, and who is in the team and who is not, and so on.

+password without admin intervention ( as they have a shell account )

+I'm the team representative (since a few hours now :) ). And only those 
+who are active members of artwork team should have write access to the 
+storage (this will probably be not more than 3 members for the moment). 
+I think we can handle that like the i18n-team. I will pipe to you who is 
+in the team (or no longer is in the team), with all its privileges and 
+dutys.

+You are able to change your password, but if you have forgotten your password, 
+you need sysadm intervention (for now) to reset it.
+
+We need to finalise and implement a design that allows accounts with ssh or 
+similar access the ability to reset passwords, but which relies on more than 
+access to a mailbox for security (e.g. via a 2nd factor such as GPG encrypted 
+token by email).

Hi,

+some months ago, Buchan proposed that we use openssh Match feature to
+force the command when connecting to ssh, instead of replacing the shell
+with nss ldap. The benefit being that we could then start to log using
+our account instead of using root, and use sudo, for auditing purpose.
+
+While working on setting up a secure sftp server for the artwork team, I
+looked on how we could make sure that account are chrooted in the web
+root. It seems that unlike svn or git, you cannot force the path except
+if you use ChrootDirectory.
+
+So this seemed the right moment to do the switch.
+
+I just did a test on a vm, and it still work fine ( at least on my
+account ). However, we have to do both at the same time, as forcing the
+command in ssh and ldap result in blocking everything.
+
+So the idea is :
+- disable the nss ldap forcing
+- add various openssh config for the various type of config we can
+have :
+
+ - regular ssh, only for admin ( jonund, ecosse, alamut, friteuse ) 
+ - ssh access to svn, git ( valstar ) 
+ - sftp chrooted for artwork team AND ssh access for web team
+( champagne )
+
+But this would requires some lifting in the ssh module before. 
+

+The mailing list and the discussion forum for admins and moderators
+are "hidden by nature" because admins and mods may want to discuss
+things and exchange information about users which are not meant for
+the public. We have such a hidden forum ("User") in mandrivauser.de as
+well.
+
+But I surely agree to your opinion that the hidden forum in the
+english forum should be open to all admins and mods, not just a closed
+club of the english forum PTBs. Same goes for the mailing list.
+
+If we can't find a solution here, we should put this issue on the list
+for next council meeting.
