+This looks like the same chip series that I mentioned in my post a few 
+days ago. As far as I know the firmware packages for that chip have 
+never been installed by default. You can work around this by going to 
+the Mageia Control Center software installation and search for 'b43'. 
+Install the 3 packages that are appropriate for your hardware. Do a hard 
+reboot. Go back to MCC and you should be able to install the firmware 
+and drivers you need.
