+According to MCC - 192.168.0.20, managed by users and starting at boot.
+According to ifconfig - 169.254.100.1 - the same subnet as the NAS's
+setup. However, when I use the web interface to connect to the NAS it
+uses 192.168.0.200.

+I did enable NetworkManager when I put the config back, but when I
+found it was still showing the "wrong"  address I turned it off again
+so that I could ifup and ifdown.

+The manually constructed config, eth0:temp, is renamed to
+eth0.temp.sav - and the config file is set to not start at boot.
