+I agree that a graphical environment is now and then very useful.
+At the beginning of Mandrake, I have sugested to Gaël Duval to make a bright 
+red background when root is used at login. IMO, this was setup in Mandrake 6.
+Some years later, I have been told that the background of a root desktop is,

No Graphical root sounds like a FEATURE rather than a bug. Graphical 
+Root is call MS Windows and does to the security of your system what 
+Microlimp does to Windoze.

+Be thankful for unlooked-for favors and pray the powers that be that no 
+one comes along and re-enables MSWindows mode.

+Further you might want to put

+# Single user mode

+in your /etc/inittab to assure that no-one can inadvertently put you 
+back in Windoze mode...
