+For a non-techie, I have found after several problems that the easiest 
+for me is to disconnect the old HD's. Install mageia on my new HD. Shut 
+down and reconnect the old HD's. Restart and then go to MCC and mount 
+the old drives. Then use dolphin to transfer files.
