+just to report, i was getting errors concerning no mod_perl.pm in using 
+cpan2dist because of course it's actually mod_perl2.pm and when i symlinked 
+that i got other errors which were beyond me, i found that the mandriva 2011 
+i586 rpms for apache-gallery and apache-mod_musicindex installed fine pulling 
+in the required dependencies from the mageia repository so i used those
