+I often work with my netbook connected to a VGA monitor.  The
+Configure Display page shows
+
+LVDS size 1280 x 720 (Auto)
+VGA1 size 1024 x 768
+
+Those settings look correct.  The problem comes with the Primary
+Output setting.
+
+If I set LVDS as Primary output, the netbook screen is fine, but the
+VGA display is too large to be accommodated.  If I set VGA as Primary,
+the reverse happens, VGA is good, but LVDS loses top and bottom of the
+display.  If I set Primary to None, the VGA display is the good one.
+
+Is this normal/expected?  I thought that before the holidays I was
+seeing a good display on both.
