[Mageia-dev] Are you sure? (no confirmation before proceeding to selected packages installation)

Mageia's installer has the same problem that bothers me in Mandriva. The type
install screen with KDE vs Gnome vs custom has no intermediate step prior to
the start of selected packages installation. Does this bother no one else?

It seems to be a confirmation of some kind should follow exit from this
screen, maybe a popup saying "Are you sure you want to do this?" or "Packages
installation will begin when you click 'OK'", implying a contemplation period
where it may be realized something may have been forgotten that would be more
easily corrected sooner rather than later. Time and again I've forgotten that
this doesn't happen, clicked OK, and only then remembered why I didn't want
what I selected. But, the only way back is to abort the install entirely.

The root of this situation for me is mostly two pronged:

1-More often than not I'm doing a "test" install of an alpha, beta or RC.
That means I intend to test mainly things I could or would recognize as
working or not, including the installer itself. I want to get on with the
installation process without waiting for kitchen sinks, bathtubs and guest
houses and their wasted bandwidth to complete. The screen offering only the
KDE/Gnome/Custom options is too simplistic, hiding the minimal option as an
afterstep to "Custom", which amounts to the only way to do _any_
customization when either a KDE or Gnome selection is also wanted, but
minimally, a sort of no-suggests. The Mandrake/Mandriva main selection screen
used to have a checkbox worded something like "individual package selection".
I miss it.

2-There are no formatting options offered for /. Since I virtually always
install to a multiboot system, I require maximum cross-installation
compatibility. I can't have inode sizes, UUIDs and volume labels changed
willy nilly without having to go back and reconfigure every other
installation to conform to needless changes made by a new installation.
Format step really ought to offer selectable format options so that an
existing UUID, LABEL and/or Inode size could be preserved and yet the /
target really be empty.

Is there any point in filing wishlist bug for either of these shortcomings?
Would the latter be treated like Fedora did?
