+It can be a fine line at times I agree, but I think as these are updates
+to the stable branch version upstream and add extra h/w support, I'd
+personally suggest that updates makes more sense in this case.

+Seems a few people are generally in favour of this. I'll push updates to
+the testing area and ask for feedback on the bug. If it helps the users
+then we can ask for a regression check from people via -discuss. Make sense?
