[Mageia-dev] Mageia beta 3 install and post-install

+You may remember that I said that the beta 2 install took 5 hours -
+beta 3 took just over one hour.  Maybe there always was a problem with
+my beta 2 install, although the sha1sum verified.
+
+Beta 3 then - install went absolutely fine until the opportunity to
+update during install.  This failed (followed by a message "Bringing
+up the network").
+
+After booting I opened MCC and configured the wire interface, dhcp,
+automatic dns, gave it a hostname, then back to configuring repos.  I
+unchecked CD/DVD and enabled Core - and the list retrieval failed.
+
+Back to the main MCC Network screen, and got "This program has exited
+abnormally".  Restarted MCC.
+
+Went back to Network and gave it fixed DNS addresses.  Main screen
+says there is a problem during network connectivity test - but a
+notification patch came up announcing a valid ip connection.
+
+Still unable to get synthesis file for Core Release - is this expected
+at this time?  "curl failed: exited with 22".
+
+Running Updates gives me an empty list - expected?
+
+Any of the setup screens that require extra packages are unable to get
+them, so clearly there is a problem, but in view of seeing the network
+notification I don't know where to look now.
