+OK, so it seems that gnome-shell inherits the theme from Metacity and
+thus automatically gets Oxygenised.
+
+It can be fixed by:
+
+gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences theme 'Adwaita'
+
+
+But I think we need to re-assess how using the oxygen theme everywhere
+affects the gnome3 experience.
