Hi !

Wonderful job done by the team (congratulations)
just some problems with some missing rpms in Mageia1 : waiting for a
solution to be found to add them (in backports or updates repo?) and it
will be perfect !

Talking about future (whatever the release cycle will be) :
Just a reminder :
On the mailing list we talked about it on April 20th
(and before that I evocated the problem on january 18th)

Perhaps it is now the time to get rid of GLUT and use freeglut in cauldron
It was not possible for Mageia1 which needed to be "upgrade compatible"
with Mandriva...

Some rpm must be rebuilt with freeglut-devel and some dependancies
modified in their spec
It's an old problem in Mandriva and PCLinuxOS (and no other
distribution) : Mageia might not inherit of it ...

Here are some extract from the mails :

>>Thank you to provide an answer to an old Mandriva package request....

>> https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=47090
>> in comment n°10 of this "bug" I provided a list of possible dependency
>> problems when replacing mesaglut with freeglut

Thierry Vignaud answered :

> I haven't package it for no reason :-)

> mesa is ready to switch from its own implementation to freeglut.
> RH has switched to freeglut long ago.
> But we'll only consider doing it by default after Mageia 1 release.
