+The menu style file [1] allows for &quot;inline_limit&quot; attribute which
+specifies a minimum entry count before the submenu is added, otherwise
+the app entries are added to the parent menu instead.

+So e.g. submenus with less than 2-3 apps could be &quot;merged&quot; to parent

+Does it happen ? In a default Mandriva KDE installation I already have more
+than 10 internet applications.
+
+I prefer 3 quick steps rather than 2 long steps. And KDE gives you the
+&quot;recently used applications&quot; on top of the menu, so the extra step is no big
+deal.

+What are the entries ? Are all of them really needed ?

+were not published :/

+I agree with Anssi on this, but personally, i like even more Internet =&gt; 30
+apps. than an illogical submenu &quot;More&quot; which doesn't mean anything.

+in fact, what i usually do, is go to the more link, so that both are shown,
+and then i scan where the program is, that i want. an alphabetical list of 30
+would even be better than something like this.
+
+my internet and tools menu also is cluttered with 20+ apps.
+

+Anyway it could be very likely to have an application that put at least on top
+of the menu the application of that menu that is more recently used.
+I think it should be easy since most DEs are near standar desktop implementation
+(KDE, lxde and gnome - i left this last :p )
+
