We want to default to no probe when installing onto a removable
device. But we shouldn't remove the package before the user makes
the choice, because on a live system with no online media it can't
be reinstalled if the user overrides the default.

The previous fix that prevented false detection of hardware support
packages allowed the installer to pre-select the wrong architecture
package when both 32-bit and 64bit media were enabled.

The default 10 minute timeout is not enough when there are many updates.
If the user has a slow internet connection it could take much longer.
gurpmi should timeout itself if individual transactions hang.
