I think it's a good idea.
Of course keeping hal itself for the interim, but removing hal
dependancies in other packages.
Contributors like myself would appreciate knowing with what to replace
hal references with, by package.
Or should we just follow the links above ?
(For the moment I'm working on something else, but should be available
soon.)
